Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough building inspections and investigations to identify asbestos and asbestos-related hazards.
- Provide asbestos abatement monitoring and air testing services to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Issue detailed reports on asbestos-related activities, including project assessments and remediation oversight.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement environmental strategies and solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with changing regulations and industry standards to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in project management, report writing, and environmental consulting.
- NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Asbestos Investigator Certification.
- NYS DOL Licensed Asbestos Inspector Certification.
- Strong knowledge of NYC rules and regulations, as well as NYS and federal guidelines.
- Ability to comprehend and review construction drawings, with knowledge of building components.
- Working knowledge of Excel and Word.
- Strong technical writing skills, with the ability to successfully multitask and prioritize projects.
- 40-hour HAZWOPER certification preferred.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- OSHA 10 Hour Construction Safety and Health Training.
