Executive Chef 3 Job Description

Sodexo is seeking an experienced culinary professional to join our team as an Executive Chef 3 at Yale New Haven Hospital, York Street. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to our kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient feeding services, and maintaining a safe and healthy food environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement menu planning and program execution strategies to meet the needs of our patients and clients.
  • Lead and manage a team of culinary professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of exceptional service.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including inventory management, food ordering, and labor control.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless service delivery and patient satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest culinary trends and best practices, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in our kitchen operations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in food or culinary services, including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
