Guest Services Shuttle Operator

Position Overview:
The Guest Services Shuttle Operator is accountable for providing transportation for guests between the hotel and nearby attractions, while also offering valuable insights regarding dining and entertainment options.
Key Responsibilities:
transporting guests to specified destinations, assisting with luggage, ensuring the cleanliness of the shuttle vehicle, and performing concierge duties to enhance the guest experience.
Essential Duties:
QUALIFICATIONS:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required; experience in hospitality or a related field is preferred.
A valid driver's license for the state of employment is mandatory.
An acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is required.
A minimum of one year of driving experience is necessary.
Ability to communicate information and ideas effectively.
Ability to assess and choose among various options swiftly and accurately.
Ability to perform well in high-pressure situations.
Maintain composure and professionalism under stress.
Responsibilities:
Approach all interactions with guests and team members in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
Maintain consistent attendance in accordance with company standards as dictated by scheduling needs.
Adhere to company policies and regulations to promote safe and efficient hotel operations.
Welcome guests warmly.
Assist with loading and unloading luggage carts.
Guide guests to their accommodations.
Manage luggage check-in and check-out processes using appropriate tags.
Deliver messages to meeting rooms.
Distribute flowers and packages to guest rooms.
Facilitate room changes as needed.
Maintain an updated list of local attractions, events, and activities.
Keep a record of local transportation options, places of worship, sports venues, etc.
Support the housekeeping department with guest requests.
Ensure the lobby information board is accurate.
Provide guests with information, maps, and directions as necessary.
Open doors for guests.
Answer phones to assist guest service representatives.
Conduct house counts using computer systems.
Show guest rooms and suites as required, highlighting hotel amenities.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Situated in a prime downtown location, the hotel is conveniently close to major attractions, including the Convention Center, Little Italy, the Gaslamp Quarter, and the San Diego Zoo, along with numerous shopping and dining options.
