Position Overview:
This role is integral to the functioning of the Enterprise Risk Management Committee. Responsibilities include the development and upkeep of enterprise risk monitoring and reporting frameworks, conducting risk assessments across divisions, providing analytical support to finance and risk sectors, and coordinating operational risk initiatives. This position is under the supervision of the Director of Enterprise Risk Management and involves significant collaboration with management across various business units.

Key Responsibilities:
Responsibility 1: Assess, monitor, and report on divisional risk profiles - 60%
  • Conduct comprehensive divisional risk evaluations as per the established enterprise risk review framework.
  • Track divisional Key Risk Indicators and investigate any breaches of established thresholds.
  • Support analyses for stress testing and capital distribution.
  • Examine incidents and oversee findings through to resolution.
Responsibility 2: Assist in Operational Risk Management Activities - 30%
  • Facilitate the Business Continuity Planning process and maintain relevant documentation.
  • Support the Model Risk Management initiative.
  • Review Risk Acceptance requests and provide informed recommendations.
  • Assist in estimating Allowances for Loan and Lease Losses.
  • Lead New Product Risk Assessments in collaboration with management.
Responsibility 3: Administrative Support for the Enterprise Risk Management Committee - 10%
  • Monitor issues through to resolution.
  • Maintain the organization’s Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance systems.
  • Regularly update risk appetite statements.
  • Assist in preparing for ERM meetings and documenting minutes.
Position Requirements:
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in lending, financial services operations management, financial institution risk management, or similar roles.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while using office equipment.
  • Capability to operate a personal computer/laptop for approximately 8 hours daily.
  • Frequent review of both physical and electronic documents.
  • Occasional standing, walking, and reaching required.
  • Close vision abilities are necessary for this role.
  • May involve light lifting of supplies and materials weighing up to 20 lbs.
  • Primarily an indoor work environment.
