Position Overview:
This role is integral to the operations of the Enterprise Risk Management Committee. Responsibilities include the development and upkeep of enterprise risk tracking and reporting systems, performing divisional risk evaluations, offering analytical assistance to finance and risk sectors, and coordinating operational risk initiatives. This position reports directly to the Director of Enterprise Risk Management and engages significantly with management across various business units.

Key Responsibilities:
Responsibility 1: Assess, monitor, and report on divisional risk profiles - 60%
  • Conduct divisional risk evaluations in line with the established enterprise risk review framework.
  • Oversee divisional Key Risk Indicators and investigate any breaches of established thresholds.
  • Assist in the analysis for stress testing and capital distribution.
  • Examine incidents and track findings through the remediation process.
Responsibility 2: Facilitate Operational Risk Management Activities - 30%
  • Oversee the Business Continuity Planning process and its documentation.
  • Support the Model Risk Management initiative.
  • Review Risk Acceptance requests and provide recommendations.
  • Assist in estimating Allowances for Loan and Lease Losses.
  • Coordinate New Product Risk Assessments with management.
Responsibility 3: Administrative Support for the Enterprise Risk Management Committee - 10%
  • Monitor issues through the remediation process.
  • Maintain the company's Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance systems.
  • Regularly update risk appetite statements.
  • Assist in preparing for ERM meetings and documenting minutes.
Position Requirements:
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in lending, financial services operations management, financial institution risk management, or related fields.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while using office equipment.
  • Capable of operating a personal computer/laptop for approximately 8 hours daily.
  • Regularly review both physical and electronic documents.
  • Occasional requirements to stand, walk, and reach with arms and hands.
  • Close vision abilities are necessary for this role.
  • May involve light lifting of supplies and materials weighing around 20 lbs.
  • Primarily an indoor work environment.
