Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct inspections and investigations to identify safety risks and non-compliance with regulations

  • Collaborate with industry stakeholders, including airlines, airports, and other aviation organizations, to promote safety and compliance
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to industry stakeholders on safety-related matters
  • Participate in the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Valid second-class medical certificate
  • Commercial Pilot Certificate with instrument rating
  • Minimum of 1,500 total flight hours
  • Minimum of 100 flight hours within the last 3 years
  • Not more than 2 flying accidents in the last 5 years in which the applicant's pilot error was involved
  • Specialized experience in aviation safety, including experience with FAR Part 135 air carriers/air operators
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with safety management systems (SMS)
  • Knowledge of aviation regulations and standards
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
