- Minimum of 100 flight hours within the last 3 years
- Not more than 2 flying accidents in the last 5 years in which the applicant's pilot error was involved
- Specialized experience in aviation safety, including experience with FAR Part 135 air carriers/air operators
- Experience with safety management systems (SMS)
- Knowledge of aviation regulations and standards
- Experience with data analysis and reporting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
