Senior Accountant Opportunity

This Jobot Job is hosted by Jobot, a premier job matching platform. Our client, a leading accounting services firm, is seeking a seasoned and dedicated Senior Accountant to join their team.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to manage a variety of accounting activities, including bookkeeping, payroll services, and payroll tax. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing the General Ledger: Overseeing all aspects of the general ledger, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
  • Payroll Processing: Ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll updates, including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
  • Financial Reporting: Preparing and submitting weekly/monthly reports or snapshots, including weekly cash flow forecasts.
  • Internal Controls: Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
  • Payroll Tax Support: Providing payroll tax support and managing the payroll process.
  • Financial Planning: Assisting in the development of budgets and financial projections.
  • Financial Inquiries: Responding to inquiries from the director of finance, company-wide manager, and other finance and firm-wide managers regarding financial results and special reporting requests.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Proven experience in bookkeeping and payroll services.
  • Knowledge of payroll tax and ability to manage the payroll process.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
