Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate general ledger records by performing daily balancing and entries.
  • Manage daily cash flow operations effectively.
  • Reconcile checks, general ledger accounts, and bank statements on a daily and monthly basis.
  • Process credit union payables efficiently.
  • Handle credit/debit card disputes, chargebacks, and related general ledger activities.
  • Prepare VISA quarterly reports accurately.
  • Assist in the preparation of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end general ledger accounting processes.
  • Contribute to the preparation of monthly financial reports.
  • Provide clerical support for the investment portfolio and act as a backup for other departmental functions.
  • Generate various reports and maintain meticulous documentation.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • A college degree in accounting or a related field is preferred, along with 3 years of experience in financial institution accounting or a similar role.
  • Familiarity with financial institution accounting systems and associated technologies is advantageous.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
  • Excellent analytical abilities to research, reconcile, interpret data, and make appropriate general ledger entries.
  • Proficiency in standard office equipment and software, including 10-key calculators, personal computers, copiers, phones, Fedline, and Microsoft Office Excel/Word.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Proven organizational and multitasking skills are essential.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
