Objective: Manage the daily functions of a retail establishment specializing in various merchandise categories including tobacco products, fuel, gifts, food services, and grocery items. You will be fully accountable for financial performance, sales targets, employee management, customer service, profitability, and loss prevention. This position reports directly to the Director of Retail Operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement pricing strategies to ensure the profitability of the retail establishment in alignment with the financial guidelines of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. Analyze market trends, adhere to promotional plans, and anticipate competitive market changes.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels by adjusting stock quantities to boost sales while avoiding shortages, ensuring budget compliance, and verifying daily paperwork while addressing any discrepancies.
  • Recruit, train, and inspire team members.
  • Ensure operational efficiency by enforcing compliance with contracts and operational procedures.
  • Educate staff on all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), ServSafe, Food Handler protocols, and customer service training.
  • Collaborate with other General Managers and Directors to uphold established standards across all retail locations.
  • Review financial reports including profit and loss statements, product movement, labor management, and cash flow to maximize sales and profitability.
  • Oversee maintenance requests and ensure all equipment and facilities are operational, including security systems and safety protocols.
  • Develop and manage work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels to meet customer needs.
  • Engage in hands-on maintenance and cleanliness of the facility.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Availability to work on an on-call basis.
  • Proficient in computer systems, including back office and point-of-sale software.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proven coaching and team management skills.
  • At least two years of experience in retail or food service management with P&L responsibilities. Candidates with a relevant degree may also qualify with applicable experience.
