Manufacturing Assembly Supervisor Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Manufacturing Assembly Supervisor to join our team at Bobrick, a global leader in washroom accessories and toilet partitions. This role is ideal for a motivated individual who is eager to grow and develop their career in manufacturing leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of workers during alternate shifts to ensure production, quality, and safety standards are met.
  • Administer company rules, policies, and procedures within the department and ensure employees are properly trained in safe and efficient performance of assigned duties.
  • Monitor work in process, supplies inventories, on-time status of projects and schedules, accuracy of work, and proper adherence to procedures.
  • Schedule production overtime to supplement production requirements and expediting of critical items in accordance with accepted overtime practices.
  • Review production rework and reject part inspection reports to determine and eliminate causes.
  • Prepare reports for management and record personnel status reports as required.
  • Participate in production machine layout planning and modifications to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.
  • Review production orders or schedules to ascertain product data and plan department operations.
  • Plan production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
  • Coordinate manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meet specifications.
  • Develop and/or revise standard operational and working practices and observe workers to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Evaluate, select, and prepare recommendations for capital equipment purchases and order supplies within budget.
  • Monitor budgeted accounts in both expense and labor reclassification and control departmental expense spending within preapproved budget.
  • Facilitate teams and department meetings.
Requirements:
  • BS or BA from an accredited college or an associate's degree with apprenticeship or equivalent training, and 2-3 years of shop experience.
  • Familiarity with machinery, production equipment, and computer systems for data manipulation and word processing is beneficial.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills are essential.
  • Comfortable with directly supervising up to 30 employees in the Assembly department.
  • Ability to work independently and read blueprints and schematics.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and spreadsheet software is required.
  • Familiarity with machinery, production equipment, and computer systems for data manipulation and work processing is beneficial.
  • Willingness to work an alternative shift.
