Position Overview:
The Manufacturing Associate is tasked with executing standardized assembly tasks of varying complexity and conducting quality inspections on a range of products, whether at the final assembly station or at a spot welding machine.

Team Environment:
This role requires the ability to thrive in a collaborative and continuously improving workplace. The Associate must adhere to the principles of self-balancing flow manufacturing while meeting Bobrick's standards for safety, product quality, productivity, and compliance with company policies.

Continuous Improvement:
It is essential for the Associate to consistently enhance their skills in alignment with evolving technologies. The Associate will work closely with the Department Lead to understand and achieve the goals and objectives set forth by the Department Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Assemble complete product units from spot-welded sheet metal parts and other components.
2. Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for quality and quantity, documenting scrap on the MQRS daily.
3. Identify quality issues using the 4-grade quality system and utilize fixtures and jigs to ensure product quality.
4. Propose and document new and improved work methods to your supervisor.

Workplace Safety:
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by organizing materials properly and adhering to safe operating procedures. Assist with material handling tasks as needed.

Operational Competence:
1. Function effectively within a flow manufacturing cell, following established rules of engagement.
2. Operate all equipment within one flow cell.
3. Perform spot-welding functions safely and efficiently.
4. Follow detailed instructions and processes as outlined in the cell, adhering to specific engagement rules.

Problem-Solving:
Recognize and report any issues, discrepancies, or failures related to materials, tooling, machinery, and processes.

Additional Duties:
Perform minor fitting, aligning, polishing, and adjustments on a diverse range of sheet metal components and cabinets. Conduct daily pre-use inspections of equipment and work independently within a flow cell.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED is required.
- A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience or 1-2 years of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly experience is preferred.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively with colleagues.
- Competent in basic arithmetic operations and capable of interpreting simple sketches and shop drawings.

Physical Requirements:
The role requires frequent use of hands for handling objects, tools, or controls, as well as the ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. A high degree of manual dexterity is necessary, and the employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
