POSITION: CHECK-IN COORDINATOR

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center is seeking a committed Check-In Coordinator who thrives in a dynamic clinic atmosphere. This entry-level role focuses on patient check-in and appointment scheduling, serving as the initial point of contact for patients visiting the clinic. Each interaction presents a chance to deliver outstanding customer service.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Educational Background:

  • Completion of high school education or equivalent (GED).

Professional Experience:

  • Preferred: One (1) year of experience in a related field.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Facilitate patient check-in and coordinate scheduling for healthcare providers.
  • Exhibit empathy and active listening skills during patient interactions.
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service abilities and maintain composure under pressure.
  • Thoroughly understand and adhere to all HIPAA regulations in every situation.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries from patients and supervisors.
  • Exhibit proficient data entry capabilities.
  • Possess strong multitasking skills.
  • Utilize computer skills effectively at a user level.
  • Arrive at work by 6:50 AM to prepare for a 7:00 AM clinic start.
  • Be available to work until 5:00 PM when required; the clinic typically concludes at 4:30 PM.
  • Commit to working one Saturday per month during the football season from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
  • Have reliable transportation for potential travel to various office locations.
