We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Representative to join our team at Chesapeake Utilities Corporation. As a valued member of our staff, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service, collecting and reconciling cash, and preparing daily reports.

Job Description

As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for assisting customers with their queries and concerns, collecting and reconciling cash transactions, and preparing daily reports to ensure accurate accounting and budgeting. You will also be involved in maintaining good customer relations, interpreting and implementing company policies, and keeping abreast of changes in documentation requirements and payment methods.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our District Manager and Customer Service Manager to identify areas for improvement and implement process changes to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent written and oral communication skills, experience handling cash and performing basic mathematical calculations, and a strong computer aptitude. A minimum of 2 years' clerical or customer service experience is preferred, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office and other call center technologies.

You must also be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy. A high school diploma is required, and a bachelor's degree in a related field is an asset.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
