Job Summary

The Ophthalmic Technician plays a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in our ophthalmology department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing patients for examinations, performing vision screenings, and assisting physicians during minor surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for examinations by taking medical histories, performing vision screenings, and administering eye medications.
  • Assist physicians during minor surgical procedures, including setting up and maintaining a sterile field.
  • Perform routine maintenance on ophthalmic instruments and equipment.
  • Process prescription refill requests and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one year experience in ophthalmology preferred.
  • Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) certification preferred.
