Job Overview

Position Objective:

The primary focus of this role is to manage the acquisition of inventory products across all divisions and ensure optimal inventory levels and product diversity to support the organization's sales initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and acquire inventory products from a variety of suppliers and manufacturers for all branches.
  • Implement system controls for ordering to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
  • Negotiate pricing structures, payment conditions, shipping terms, cash discounts, and, when applicable, negotiate incentive rebates with suppliers.
  • Update and maintain current product pricing in the inventory management system.
  • Facilitate stock replenishment and rebalancing between branches as needed to ensure adequate stock levels and product variety.
  • Conduct periodic visits to branches to address any inventory or purchasing concerns.
  • Collaborate with branch managers and sales leaders to ensure the right product mix is available at all locations.
  • Develop strategies to mitigate overstock and obsolescence across various product lines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Work collaboratively with team members.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma is required; a Bachelor's Degree in Business is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory management or purchasing, or progressive sales experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the HVAC industry is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access).
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • A satisfactory driving record as per company policy is necessary.

Travel Expectations:

  • Up to 10% travel to branches and other operational locations may be required, including some overnight stays.
