Key Responsibilities of the Physical Security Systems Specialist
  • Utilizes principles of system design to assist in the sales, installation, and maintenance of Tech Electronics' offerings, including CCTV, Intrusion Detection, Security Systems, and Access Control.
  • Ensures that system design and technical support align with relevant codes, specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Comprehends the strategic goals of each Business Unit.
  • Manages various aspects of design and engineering tasks, including basic system installations and modifications.
  • Responds effectively to customer inquiries, both verbally and in writing.
  • Engages directly with clients through quotes, meetings, presentations, and technical support to ascertain and clarify their needs.
  • Collaborates with fellow designers and engineers to create drawings from sketches, existing documents, and electronic images, as well as from customer specifications.
  • Works closely with all departments to ensure that drawings convey accurate information and are free of errors.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of systems and relevant codes as directed.

Qualifications for the Physical Security Systems Specialist
  • Associate degree in electronics, electrical or computer engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a design or engineering role.
  • Familiarity with CAD and drafting methodologies.
  • Understanding of design principles, techniques, and tools used in the creation of technical plans, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of computer networking, including local and wide area networks.
