About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Professional to join our team at Security Benefit. As a key member of our software development team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality software projects within our Agile framework.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply software engineering principles to analyze, problem-solve, and design solutions to implement software features and functionality according to business requirements and technical specifications.
  • Work within a Scrum Agile methodology framework, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure timely delivery of software increments.
  • Collaborate closely with product owners, business analysts, designers, and other team members to understand user needs, clarify requirements, and ensure alignment of technical solutions with business objectives.
  • Actively participate in process improvement initiatives, contributing ideas and feedback to enhance team productivity, quality, and agility.
  • Analyze data to effectively coordinate the installation of new systems or modification of existing systems.
  • Write unit tests and participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with QA to perform integration testing, regression testing, and other types of testing as needed.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, API documentation, and user manuals.
  • Adapt quickly to changing priorities and requirements, demonstrating flexibility and resilience in a fast-paced Agile environment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and customers, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and dependencies.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in Agile software development, continuously improving your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in software development with a strong background in full-stack development technologies such as Angular, Python, React, etc.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, with practical experience working in Agile teams and delivering software increments iteratively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality software solutions that meet user needs.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, serverless architecture, and containerization technologies.
  • Experience with version control systems, issue tracking systems (such as Jira or Confluence), and collaboration tools (Slack).
  • Financial Services industry experience preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of Security Benefit & Zinnia products and services preferred.
