Job Description

Our team at Promega is comprised of innovative professionals with diverse skillsets who work together to achieve our goal of safely manufacturing high-quality small molecules used in Promega's Life Science products to improve lives globally.

Your Role

As part of the Chemistry Operations team, you will support day-to-day operations, continuous improvement initiatives, and capital projects. You will gain experience with small molecule chemical synthesis, design, procurement, commissioning, qualification, and troubleshooting equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Apply engineering principles and methods to tasks supporting ongoing projects and responsibilities of the Chemistry Manufacturing Engineering department.
  2. Assist in the development and execution of engineering projects using fundamental engineering concepts under the guidance of process/project engineers.
  3. Participate in cross-functional teams to investigate and analyze existing manufacturing processes and equipment to identify and implement continuous improvement projects.
  4. Assist in troubleshooting and problem-solving activities related to manufacturing processes, equipment, and utility systems.
  5. Review and update controlled documents to reflect changes for projects or findings from investigation activities.
  6. Present project work and updates at various project team meetings.
  7. Demonstrate inclusion through words and actions and be accountable for a safe workspace.
  8. Embracing and being open to incorporating Promega's 6 Emotional & Social Intelligence (ESI) core principles in daily work.
  9. Understand and comply with ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements applicable to our business.
Requirements
  1. Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
  2. Strong interest in small molecule organic chemistry manufacturing processes.
  3. Excellent organization, communication, and presentation skills.
  4. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  5. Ability to handle both multiple and changing priorities.
  6. Strong safety mindset.
  7. Basic knowledge of process engineering principles and chemical manufacturing equipment.
