Position Overview:
The Airside & Terminal Operations Department is seeking a motivated individual with proven technical and analytical abilities.

The chosen candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment and will play a key role in airside safety operations.

Utilizing critical thinking skills, they will address complex issues in real-time and foster relationships with stakeholders to ensure project completion while upholding airside operations.


Key Responsibilities:


Oversee all facets of airport emergencies and operational activities; uphold safety and security standards on the airfield, taxiways, and airside; manage FAR Part 139 programs including airfield safety inspections, signage, markings, lighting, pavement management, driver training, aircraft rescue and firefighting (ARFF) contracts, wildlife management, and disabled aircraft recovery; address Part 77 obstructions, aviation fueling inspections, and annual FAA certification inspections.

Act as a liaison with contractors during construction and maintenance projects on runways, taxiways, aprons, and terminal facilities; issue NOTAMs and relay airport operational advisories to tenants, air traffic control, governmental agencies, and the public.

Manage the Authority gate management system during assigned shifts.

This encompasses coordinating gate and remain overnight (RON) parking assignments on the airfield as well as baggage carousel assignments within the terminal.

Coordinate, respond to, and engage in airport emergencies with first responder agencies including law enforcement, medical, HAZMAT, TSA, ARFF, customs, and border protection; manage aircraft gate schedules, overnight parking assignments, and modifications in airline and charter aircraft schedules.

Supervise airfield escort activities in compliance with regulations; maintain and enhance partnerships with stakeholders; interpret regulations for stakeholders; collaborate on organizational programs and initiatives; ensure effective customer service delivery; develop resolutions and action plans for conflicts.

Maintain records, operational logs, and correspondence; prepare reports and documentation; participate in operational and industry meetings; oversee service provider contracts and activities; contribute to the development of goals and objectives, as well as capital and operating budgets; implement changes.

Seek and engage in opportunities to enhance, streamline, and innovate work processes, manuals, and program documents; adopt best practices and processes; serve as a subject matter expert and provide insights for airfield and airport infrastructure; stay informed on industry and regulatory trends and influence stakeholder perspectives; perform additional duties as assigned.

Education, Training, and Experience:
Graduation from a four-year college or university with a degree in Aviation Management or a related field;
Two years of experience in large or medium airport operations;
Equivalent combination of training and experience;
Possession of a valid driver's license and the ability to maintain insurability under the Authority's vehicle insurance policy.

Preferred Education, Certification, and Licenses:
American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), AAE, ASC, or ACE OPS/SMS Certification.
