Position Overview: Airside Operations Manager II

The Airside & Terminal Operations Department is seeking a motivated individual with proven technical and analytical abilities. The successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, playing a key role in airside safety operations. They will utilize critical thinking skills to address complex challenges in real-time and foster relationships with stakeholders to ensure project success while maintaining seamless airside operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all facets of airport emergencies and operational activities, ensuring the safety and security of the airfield, taxiways, and airside.
  • Manage compliance with FAR Part 139 programs, including airfield safety inspections, signage, lighting, pavement management, and wildlife management.
  • Act as a liaison with contractors during construction and maintenance projects affecting runways, taxiways, and terminal facilities.
  • Issue NOTAMs and communicate operational advisories to tenants, air traffic control, government agencies, and the public.
  • Administer the Authority gate management system during assigned shifts, coordinating gate assignments and overnight parking on the airfield.
  • Collaborate with first responder agencies during airport emergencies, managing aircraft gate schedules and changes in airline operations.
  • Ensure compliance with airfield escort activities and maintain strong partnerships with stakeholders.
  • Maintain operational records and logs, develop reports, and participate in industry meetings.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and adapt best practices to enhance airfield and airport infrastructure.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management or a related field.
  • Two years of experience in large or medium airport operations.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to maintain insurability under the Authority's vehicle insurance policy.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications from the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), such as AAE, ASC, or ACE OPS/SMS.

Compensation: The hiring salary for the Airside Operations Manager II is $95,235, with a pay range of $73,227 to $117,243.
