The Airside & Terminal Operations Department is seeking a motivated individual with proven technical and analytical capabilities for the Airside Operations Manager II position. The successful candidate will operate in a dynamic environment, playing a crucial role in airside safety operations. Utilizing critical thinking skills, they will address complex issues in real-time and foster relationships with stakeholders to ensure project completion while upholding airside operations.

Key Responsibilities:

· Oversee all facets of airport emergencies and operational activities, ensuring the safety and security of the airfield, taxiways, and airside. Manage FAR Part 139 programs, including airfield safety inspections, airfield signage, lighting, pavement management, driver training, aircraft rescue and firefighting (ARFF) contracts, wildlife management, and annual FAA certification inspections.

· Act as a liaison with contractors during construction and maintenance projects affecting runways, taxiways, aprons, and terminal facilities. Issue NOTAMs and communicate operational advisories to tenants, air traffic control, governmental agencies, and the public.

· Manage the Authority's gate management system during assigned shifts, facilitating gate assignments and remain overnight (RON) parking on the airfield, as well as baggage carousel assignments within the terminal.

· Coordinate and engage in airport emergencies alongside first responder agencies, including law enforcement, medical, HAZMAT, TSA, ARFF, and customs. Manage aircraft gate schedules and parking assignments, adapting to changes in airline and charter aircraft schedules.

· Oversee airfield escort activities in compliance with regulations, strengthening partnerships with stakeholders. Interpret mandates and regulations for stakeholders, collaborating on organizational programs and initiatives, ensuring effective customer service, and resolving conflicts.

· Maintain operational records, logs, and correspondence; develop reports; participate in operational and industry meetings; oversee service provider contracts; and contribute to the development of goals, objectives, and budgets.

· Seek opportunities to enhance, streamline, and innovate work processes, manuals, and program documents. Adapt best practices and serve as a subject matter expert on airfield and airport infrastructure, staying informed on industry and regulatory trends.

Qualifications:

Education, Training, and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management or a related field.

· Minimum of two years of experience in large or medium airport operations.

· Equivalent combination of training and experience.

· Valid driver's license and ability to maintain insurability under the Authority's vehicle insurance policy.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Certification from the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), AAE, ASC, or ACE OPS/SMS.

Compensation:

The hiring salary for the Airside Operations Manager II is $95,235, with a pay range of $73,227 to $117,243.
