First Financial Federal Credit Union is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Teller Associate to join our team. As a Teller Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional member service, processing transactions, and promoting our credit union's products and services.
Key Responsibilities- Transaction Processing: Accurately and efficiently process and record routine transactions for members, including cashing checks, accepting deposits and withdrawals, processing loan payments and money transfers.
- Member Service: Process new membership account requests and existing member account changes and updates. Promote and advise on the Credit Union's products and services.
- Compliance: Comply with and follow Bank Secrecy Act regulations, internal controls, and established policies.
- Cash Handling: Handle cash, deposits, and withdrawals, verifying for counterfeit currency and ensuring accuracy.
- Member Support: Identify members, validate and cash checks, accept checks and cash for deposit, and verify checks for authenticity and negotiability.
- Service Delivery: Perform services for members, such as ordering loan coupons, checks, preparing cashier's checks, temporary checks, gift cards, and issuing ATM/Debit cards.
- Account Management: Place holds on accounts in accordance with Credit Union policy and procedures, receive and verify loan and VISA payments, complete transfers, vouchers, and fees.
- Deposit Processing: Receive and process night and mail deposits, verify ATM machines are free from tampering, and process deposits and settle the ATM.
- Problem Resolution: Attempt to resolve issues and problems with member accounts.
- Financial Reporting: Process daily totals and balancing currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer, and prove out at the end of the day.
- Branch Operations: Assist with opening and closing the branch, following the Credit Union's procedures.
- Product Promotion: Promote all Credit Union products and services to members, referring them to the appropriate person/department, and taking applications.
- Referrals: Make referrals to the Investment & Retirement Center.
- Notary Services: Provide notary service if licensed.
- Digital Migration: Proficient in the migration of members to the digital channels of the Credit Union.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
