Job Overview

The Green Mountain Community Network, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Officer to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the finance department, maintaining a solid finance department infrastructure with streamlined processes and workflow efficiencies, and ensuring that effective internal controls are established and implemented.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement budgetary control systems, recordkeeping systems, or other administrative control processes.
  • Ensure that all financial transactions comply with rules and regulations set forth by contracting agencies and other sources and enter using generally accepted accounting procedures (GAAP).
  • Prepare the agency for the annual audit, including organizing all standard reports and analyses with the designated auditor to ensure timely completion.
  • Oversee all finance and administrative staff and activities.
  • Generate relevant financial reports for the Executive Director and Board of Directors.
Requirements
  • At least ten years of experience in financial management positions using generally accepted accounting procedures (GAAP) and ten years in Human Resources with significant responsibility.
  • Computer proficiency, including using Excel, Word, Outlook, and accounting software programs.
  • Strong interpersonal as well as written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong orientation to detail while maintaining a 'big picture' perspective.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a management team.
