Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Generalist to join our team at United Counseling Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining current payer information, processing accurate bills, and ensuring timely payments to the Agency.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Billing and Collection:

The Finance Generalist will facilitate the processing of third-party and Medicare statements, create HIPAA-compliant electronic files, and submit online claims. They will also investigate and update payer information, process payments, and reconcile the payment report to the Cash Receipts Journal.

The successful candidate will monitor the timely receipt of payments from third-party and Medicare payers, investigate denials, and resolve delinquent balances. They will also provide detail for the payback reconciliation to General Ledger and complete documentation for all billing adjustments processed.

The Finance Generalist will play an active role in interfacing with IT and Electronic Health Records staff to resolve A/R and billing problems, ensuring all Agency regulations are met and adhered to.

  1. Clerical:

The successful candidate will keypunch all related data, demonstrating a clear understanding of codes before inputting to the computer. They will also organize and maintain all third-party and Medicare files, correcting data errors as needed.

  1. Other:

The Finance Generalist will report on third-party and Medicare accounts receivable in monthly A/R meetings. They will also complete quarterly audits of CRT and DS rep payee accounts, manage 3rd-party contracts, audit billing quarterly, and perform special projects or other duties as assigned.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent with 3-5 years of relevant experience. They will also possess computer skills and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
