POSITION SUMMARY

The Facility Maintenance Technician will oversee the cleaning and replenishment of designated areas within various facilities, ensuring compliance with all health and safety standards.

CORE FUNCTIONS
  • Ensure a safe and hygienic work environment by addressing any hazardous conditions or behaviors with a supervisor.
  • Clean assigned areas including, but not limited to, offices, break rooms, restrooms, communal spaces, supply rooms, and storage areas.
    • Cleaning responsibilities encompass dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, window cleaning, waste disposal, and sanitizing surfaces and appliances.
  • Maintain and restock supply rooms and designated areas.
  • Conduct and document routine inspections and cleaning checklists.
  • Execute heavy cleaning tasks and special projects as required.
  • Report any defects, necessary repairs, or supply needs to management.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
  • Utilize Lean manufacturing principles to achieve results and organize materials according to 6S standards.
  • Perform additional related and unrelated duties as assigned through on-the-job training.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience
  • A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is mandatory.
  • Preferred: 6 months of prior janitorial experience.
Required Licenses
  • No specific licenses required.
Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge
  • Willingness to work early morning or late-night shifts.
  • Ability to operate effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Capacity to follow directions accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Physically capable of lifting and moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds as needed.
Travel
  • Occasional travel may be necessary.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • This role is an individual contributor position with no oversight of others and no management responsibilities.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • This position involves Medium Work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Physical Activities
  • This role requires the following physical activities: climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, crawling, and repetitive motions.
Visual Acuity
  • The worker must possess close visual acuity to perform tasks such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, visual inspection involving small defects, and using measurement devices.
Working Conditions
  • The worker is exposed to both indoor and outdoor environmental conditions, including heat, noise, vibration, and hazards typical of a production-based environment.
