Job Overview:

The Systems Integration division plays a crucial role in the enhancement and execution of Combat Systems modifications for advanced naval vessels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Combat Systems Engineering Team.
  • Serve as the Technical Point of Contact (TPOC) with the Navy for approved Combat Systems modifications.
  • Ensure that Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) for the DDG 51 Class are managed according to established timelines.
  • Verify that all ECPs comply with relevant engineering and Navy specifications.
  • Collaborate with the Navy, contractors, and various engineering teams to address technical challenges and create necessary documentation.
  • Assist in the development of precise implementation strategies.
  • Support cost estimation efforts to ensure accurate budgeting.
  • Provide technical guidance to Manufacturing in resolving Combat Systems issues.
  • Deliver technical leadership across all Combat Systems initiatives.
  • Prepare and present reports to management and Navy representatives.
  • Generate Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates for urgent Combat Systems Engineering tasks.
  • Engage in and/or lead Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) during the initial phases of ship modifications.
  • Occasionally participate in off-site meetings and events.
  • Lead special projects as assigned.
  • Act as the primary contact for Combat Systems-related inquiries.

Education and Training Requirements:

  • A Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience is required.

Experience Preferences:

  • At least 12 years of professional experience is essential.
  • Familiarity with ship construction standards is advantageous.
  • Experience with Installation Control Drawings and Technical Data Packages is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel for business purposes is necessary.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and adhere to deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills with diverse groups within the organization and among prime contractors are required.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential.
  • Self-driven with a collaborative mindset is necessary.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and excellent computer skills are required.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities are crucial.
  • Capability to obtain a Government Secret Clearance is required.
  • This position necessitates the ability to secure a government security clearance, and candidates must be U.S. Citizens.
