Job Summary

Price Industries Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to manage the production activities within their department and drive overall performance of the manufacturing department. This role will be responsible for overseeing production schedules, delivery performance, resource planning, allocation, and utilization, as well as quality and safety improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and utilization of the production department.
  • Ensure the quality of products built and effectively resolve quality issues.
  • Identify problem root causes and implement corrective and preventive measures to prevent repetition.
  • Collaborate with functional support departments to resolve quality issues.
  • Identify and resolve safety concerns.
  • Bring multiple product lines together to meet the manufacturing plan for the week.
  • Ensure work instructions, procedures, and policies are being followed.
  • Motivate department members through involvement, communication, and positive reinforcement.
  • Provide employees with feedback through formal and informal performance evaluations.
  • Monitor attendance and take disciplinary steps as required.
  • Deal with grievances and conflicts in a calm, controlled, and professional manner.
  • Manage manpower planning and effective staffing, including operators and lead-hands.
  • Ensure effective training and cross-training.
  • Mentor and develop lead-hands to manage hour-by-hour manufacturing operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement within departments to achieve better quality, efficient productivity, and delivery performance.
  • Lead the implementation of 5S and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
  • Ensure daily shop clean-up actions are performed effectively and required daily machine preventive maintenance actions are carried out as required.

  • Exceptional leadership skills with a sense of urgency and strong aptitude.
  • Ability to create accountability and lead by example.
  • Ability to make sound and timely decisions.
  • Ability to develop, maintain, and motivate a strong team.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and difficult situations.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.

Education/Relevant Experience/Skills

  • College degree or high school with 5 years of experience.
  • 3-5 years of supervision role with a proven track record in a high-volume, multi-product environment - Preferably in sheet metal and HVAC.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing.
  • Comfortable in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred.
