Position Overview:

The Production Operations Supervisor will manage the activities, output, and schedule of the designated operational shift. This role entails recruiting, training, and fostering a positive workplace culture while ensuring accountability among team members. The Supervisor will guarantee adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards.

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Develops work schedules and conducts daily production briefings.
  • Trains new personnel within the department.
  • Oversees the daily operations of the department.
  • Provides timely and constructive performance feedback.
  • Handles employee discipline in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Maintains training records for all staff members.
  • Stays informed about processes and equipment, implementing enhancements as necessary.
  • Organizes daily work assignments.
  • Ensures the manufacturing team accurately tracks labor and production output.

Key Duties:

  • Identifies, investigates, and resolves operational delays during shifts, ensuring shipping timelines are met.
  • Communicates any delays to the production planning team, relevant management, and other stakeholders.
  • Facilitates maintenance and repairs of equipment.
  • Collaborates with the Director of Manufacturing and other leaders to identify and rectify inefficiencies and explore cost-saving opportunities.
  • Identifies and implements process enhancements.
  • Performs additional duties as required.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient time management skills with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of operational policies and practices.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or a minimum of 5 years of experience in medical manufacturing.
  • At least 5 years of supervisory experience in a medical manufacturing environment.
  • High school diploma is mandatory.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to navigate the operations facility.
  • Capability to lift up to 40 pounds at a time.
