Director of Housing Operations

Job Summary:

The Director of Housing Operations will oversee the daily operations of the Housing Authority's public housing programs, encompassing the maintenance and management of conventional public housing developments. This role requires close cooperation with city officials, community organizations, and various city agencies. The successful candidate will ensure that both the staff and the Chester Housing Authority adhere to agency policies and procedures, as well as comply with HUD requirements and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee the daily operations of public housing programs, including maintenance and management of conventional public housing developments
* Collaborate with other department managers and supervisors as necessary, addressing areas such as personnel management, budgeting, purchasing, accounting, audit participation, data processing, social services, emergency housing, tenant assignments, and resident orientation
* Ensure compliance with HUD requirements and federal regulations, as well as agency policies and procedures
* Foster close cooperation with city officials, community organizations, and various city agencies

Requirements:

* Five years of professional administrative experience in subsidized housing or residential property management; or Two years as a Property Manager; or One year of professional administrative experience in subsidized housing or in residential property management and a bachelor's degree
* Meet the PA residency requirement
* Ability to perform essential job functions
