Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Lead and manage a team of maintenance professionals to ensure the efficient operation of facilities maintenance and critical systems support.
    • Develop and implement plans to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
    • Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Maintenance and Operations
    • Oversee the maintenance and repair of facilities, including HVAC, electrical, and building maintenance systems.
    • Ensure that all equipment and systems are in good working condition and that safety protocols are followed.
    • Monitor and respond to critical systems operation alarms and alerts.
  • Performance Management
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
    • Develop and implement plans to improve team performance and productivity.
    • Ensure that all team members are aware of and comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Vendor Management
    • Manage vendor relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of services.
    • Develop and implement plans to improve vendor performance and reduce costs.
  • Other Duties
    • Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
Requirements
  • Education
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
    • Associate's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience
    • Minimum three years of experience in facilities maintenance management and operations.
    • Minimum three years of experience in casino or hospitality maintenance operational environment preferred.
  • Skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
    • Ability to read, understand, and explain blueprints and schematics.
    • Knowledge of emergency shut-off procedures for gas, water, electric, etc.
    • Ability to follow safety guidelines when using required chemicals, equipment, tools, and techniques.
    • Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, alarm, and fire systems.
  • Certifications/Licenses
    • At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
    • A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required.
