Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and bilingual administrative assistant to join our team at the Developmental Disabilities Institute. As a key member of our Early Childhood Services program, you will provide administrative support and coordination for various activities and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage correspondence, reports, and documents.
  • Organize and coordinate meetings and conferences.
  • Maintain schedules and calendars.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Establish, maintain, process, and update files, records, and other materials.
  • Order departmental supplies and manage inventory.
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail and prepare photocopies, faxes, and other office tasks.
  • Provide verbal and written translation services as needed.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • One year of experience in an office environment.
  • Formal secretarial or office management training in lieu of experience.
  • Demonstrable computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Fluency in a second language and thorough knowledge of English.

Working Conditions:

The EC Administrative Assistant 1 – Bilingual will work in a fast-paced office environment and may be required to sit for extended periods. The ability to lift, move, and push objects up to 20 pounds is also required.
