Behavior Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Behavior Specialist to join our team at Advanced Behavioral Therapy. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of individuals with autism.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This will involve providing direct therapy to individuals with autism, collecting data on progress, and assisting in developing treatment goals. Collaboration with the team is essential to create a positive therapeutic environment, ensuring the highest quality care for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior intervention plans under supervision of BCBA.
- Provide direct one-on-one therapy to individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
- Collect and record data on client progress and behavior.
- Assist with development and implementation of individualized treatment goals.
- Collaborate with BCBA and other team members to create and maintain a positive therapeutic environment.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain confidentiality of client information.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or related field preferred.
- Experience working with children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently as well as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a background check.
Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques.
- Familiarity with data collection methods and behavior tracking software.
- Ability to implement behavior intervention strategies effectively.
- Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with individuals with ASD.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet.
Compensation and Benefits:
This position offers a competitive salary of $40,000-$60,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits including health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, flexible schedule, opportunities for advancement, paid orientation, and paid time off.
