Customer Service Representative

At NASA Federal Credit Union, we are seeking a skilled Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a key member of our branch staff, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to our members, promoting and selling our products and services, and providing solutions to meet their financial needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Empathize with members and provide solutions to make it easy for them to acquire and effectively use our products and services.
  • Identify member needs and provide solutions on products that meet their needs and facilitate their financial security.
  • Respond to member inquiries regarding the operation of accounts, interest rates on savings and loan products, account discrepancies, credit, debit, and ATM cards, and loan applications.
  • Process a variety of financial transactions on member accounts, including deposits, withdrawals, funds transfers, loan payments, check orders, share certificates, ACH/payroll/direct deposit, direct transfers, and stop payment set up and changes.
  • Handle complex member situations, such as deceased members, guardianships, and representative payee accounts.
  • Handle consumer loan application processing, document collection, and disbursements.
  • Advise members regarding available insurance protection, including life, disability, and gap insurance.
  • Support the Call Center queues, including phone and email.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Minimum of one year of customer service experience with cash handling or bank/credit union/financial call center knowledge/experience with financial products.
  • Cash handling experience required.
