Job Title: People (HR) Manager

Insomnia Cookies is seeking a highly skilled and experienced People (HR) Manager to join our dynamic People Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing best practices and driving efficiencies across HR processes. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with various stakeholders on people-focused projects and initiatives, and provide consultative support and strategic guidance on HR topics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource strategy, particularly as it relates to current attraction, retention, and succession planning.
  • Provide consultative support and strategic guidance on HR topics, including employee relations, performance management, and ongoing strategic initiatives.
  • Oversee the administration of disciplinary matters, disputes, and investigations.
  • Lead the planning and implementation of employee engagement surveys, including analyzing impact, activating action items, and designing follow-up priorities and communication plans.
  • Manage and enhance employee benefits, including compensation, health insurance, 401K, and expense reimbursement programs.
  • Analyze trends in compensation and benefits, research and propose competitive base and incentive programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Manage the performance appraisal process, collaborate with departmental leaders to understand skills and competencies for positions throughout the organization.
  • Work with leadership to create learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
  • Participate in interdepartmental meetings with leadership teams across the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including but not limited to all applicable wage and hour laws and regulations related to Fair Work Week, FMLA, OSHA, EEO, and ADA, and recommend best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and employment law.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • A minimum of five years of direct human resource management experience required.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired.
  • Experience working with a global organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.
