Job Summary

The Program Specialist position at Resources for Human Development is a critical role that requires a strong commitment to supporting the health, safety, and growth of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a Program Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality of programmatic, health, and facilitative services, ensuring that the needs of individuals served are met and necessary services and supports are provided.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative: Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, complete paperwork and documentation in a timely and accurate manner, and participate in audits to ensure license requirements are met.
  • Staff Support: Train direct care staff in individual support plans and mentor them in day-to-day implementation and documentation.
  • Client Support: Create an environment that empowers individuals through the development of skills and coordination of resources and supportive services, ensure medical and dental services are scheduled in accordance with regulations, and create individualized support plans (ISPs) to identify service needs and goals.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree or above from an accredited college or university (Special Education desired) and 1 year of work experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability or autism, or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and 2 years of work experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability or autism, or Associate's degree or 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university and 4 years of work experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability or autism.
  • Skills: Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to complete reporting requirements, maintain a minimum of 24 hours of in-service trainings per calendar year, and demonstrate a commitment to the RHD values.
