Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Manager to lead the Residential and Hospitality Services (RHS) team at InsideHigherEd. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic HR leadership and support to the RHS and Business Services Division (BSD) teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the human resource function for RHS, incorporating Housing, Dining, Off Campus Services, University Club & Conference Services.
  • Provide strategic HR leadership and support for BSD, including projects and HR consultation.
  • Coach and counsel managers on complex employee and labor relations issues, ensuring compliance with University policy and employment laws/regulations.
  • Facilitate issue resolution and work closely with leadership to create and implement effective solutions.
  • Collaborate on staffing and talent management, employee and labor relations, benefits, diversity, and HR systems and services to provide a full range of HR support to staff and management clients.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree is required, and 3 to 5 years of related experience in human resources management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • PHR/SPHR certification is preferred, and business and/or consulting experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience providing HR services for a unionized workforce is required.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a diverse environment is desirable.
