Business Development Associate

Midland Farms is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining a high level of product knowledge, soliciting new sales opportunities, and supporting the selling effort by providing product expertise at sales calls, trade shows, and product demonstrations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain a high level of product knowledge for assigned products.
- Solicit new sales opportunities through proper research, trade shows, and cold calls.
- Develop tactical plans that meet product sales and profit objectives.
- Support the selling effort by providing product expertise on assigned products at sales calls, trade shows, training sessions, and product demonstrations.
- Collaborate with the marketing department in the development of POS, presentation, and sales material for the assigned products.
- Prepare, analyze, and report performance.
- Explore new product opportunities through proper research, analysis, and negotiations.
- Bachelor's degree in business or food-related curriculum.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a sales-related role in the food industry (prefer fluid drinks).
- Ability to work independently and complete tasks on time without supervision.
- Experience with promoting/networking in and around New York City.
- Ability to travel daily.
- Manage many projects simultaneously and perform duties in an accurate, proficient, and timely manner.
- Excellent oral and written communication.
- Proficient computer skills, specifically in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Represent the company at trade shows where needed.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
$98,000 - $119,000 per year + expense reimbursement.
