The Head of Engineering and Maintenance Operations will oversee the engineering department, ensuring the establishment and upkeep of efficient and secure work environments. This leadership role encompasses the management of our infrastructure, guaranteeing that all internal systems function securely and effectively across four production facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and develop a skilled team of mechanics.
- Supervise both front-end and back-end engineering and maintenance teams along with their respective projects.
- Ensure adherence to Cal OSHA regulations and industry standards.
- Prepare and manage the budget for the maintenance department.
- Formulate strategies for future development projects aligned with the company's objectives and available resources.
- Identify and recommend advancements in technology and systems for the next three to five years during capital planning.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for new integrations and tools.
- Prepare Requests for Proposals (RFPs), presentations, and project quotations with confidence.
- Review and update policies related to internal systems and equipment.
- Collaborate closely with the VP of Corporate Capital.
- Engage with general managers at each facility.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong presentation abilities.
- A minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in a senior-level maintenance role or as a director of maintenance.
- Proven experience in team management.
- Ability to manage software development projects by defining requirements, goals, and timelines.
- Extensive knowledge of cloud technologies and modern human-computer interfaces.
- Hands-on experience in executing maintenance and engineering plans and projects.
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a strategic approach.
- Proficient project management skills.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, specifically in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, or Industrial Engineering.
