Role Responsibilities:
As the Emergency Services Clinical Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in training, administration, and fostering teamwork on the floor. Working closely with the management team, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality medical services that enhance both client and patient experiences. Your duties will include:
  • Scheduling and training team members.
  • Identifying gaps in protocols and processes.
  • Communicating protocol changes and important updates in a timely manner.
Technical and Administrative Balance:
This position consists of approximately 70% technical responsibilities and 30% administrative tasks.

Candidate Profile:
The ideal Clinical Supervisor is an experienced Veterinary Technician with exceptional interpersonal skills, empathy, and leadership abilities. Your primary focus will be managing patient flow while overseeing operations in the emergency department during your shift. Leading by example, you will also serve as a charge nurse and handle necessary administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise clinical support teams to ensure effective patient care delivery.
  • Provide comprehensive patient care and assist with various tasks, including diagnostics and treatment.
  • Plan and direct care for emergency patients.
  • Assign responsibilities to team members based on their competencies.
  • Monitor patient conditions and implement appropriate interventions.
  • Maintain knowledge of equipment and ensure proper usage.
  • Initiate emergency support measures and protect patients from harm.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and hospital policies.
  • Educate staff on equipment use and safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Trainer for onboarding and training.
  • Manage scheduling for emergency teams and approve time sheets.
  • Work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an AVMA-Accredited Veterinary Technician Program.
  • 4+ years of experience in emergency veterinary care.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Current licensing in the state or ability to transfer a license.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations.
  • Team player with strong prioritization skills.
Schedule Requirements:
Availability for three 12-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Compensation and Benefits:
