Lead Test Engineer

Rambus, a leading provider of chip and silicon intellectual property, is in search of a highly skilled Principal Test Engineer to enhance our Operations division. The successful candidate will collaborate with some of the most innovative engineers and inventors globally to create products that enhance data speed and security.

In the role of Principal Test Engineer, you will report directly to the Director of Test Engineering. This is a Full-Time opportunity aimed at experienced, process-oriented Test Engineers who will contribute to our cross-functional team focused on Memory Interface product development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive Test plans and collaborate with design teams to ensure thorough Test coverage.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills with internal teams, clients, and suppliers.
  • Design Automated Test Equipment (ATE) hardware for New Product Introduction (NPI) support, including Load Boards, probe cards, and interfaces.
  • Oversee the complete product lifecycle from design through prototypes, high-volume manufacturing, and RMA/sustaining support.
  • Enhance yield, Test duration, multi-site testing capabilities, and parallel testing efficiency.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in Test coverage and Design for Testability (DFT) techniques including Scan, ATPG, JTAG, and BIST.
  • Experience collaborating with both local and offshore Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) facilities.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with Advantest V93k is essential.
  • Familiarity with Smartest, Redhat, and version control systems such as GIT/SVN.
  • Preferred experience with DDR, MRDIMM (DB and RCD), and High-speed Digital products.
  • Ability to learn independently and solve complex problems.
  • Comfortable with teamwork, open communication, and cross-functional collaboration.
