Position Overview:
As a Senior Customs Compliance Analyst, you will be responsible for managing the classification and U.S. Customs clearance processes for a substantial volume of merchandise, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and guidelines. Your role will involve collaborating with various departments to uphold adherence to CBP regulations and other governmental requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the classification of HTS codes and assess additional duties or tariffs.
2. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and resolve any issues related to CBP holds.
3. Provide training and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to keep the team informed on industry changes.
4. Identify opportunities for duty savings and report on tariff changes affecting the organization.
5. Develop and implement cross-functional systems to enhance operational efficiency.

A Typical Day:
Your day will involve ensuring precision in classifications, duty rates, and clearance documentation while maintaining compliance with CBP and other regulatory requirements. You will also be responsible for training new team members and updating training materials as necessary.

Compliance Maintenance:
Ensure adherence to the Trade Compliance Program through risk-based audits, identifying potential risks, and implementing mitigation strategies.

Reporting Duties:
Create and analyze reports related to Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), Anti-Dumping/Countervailing Duties (AD/CVD) cases, and Section 301 tariffs, highlighting risks or savings opportunities for management.

Collaboration:
Work closely with Customs Brokers and regulatory agencies to stay updated on classification and compliance changes. Participate in industry conferences and webinars to enhance knowledge and share insights with relevant teams.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of three years of direct experience in Customs Trade Compliance.
- Preferred certifications include US Customs Broker License and/or CCS (Certified Customs Specialist).
- Strong understanding of international operations and customs compliance regulations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Teams.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
