This position will report to the Operations Manager and will primarily operate onsite at client locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of OSHA regulations and Triumvirate's Health and Safety protocols.
- Prepare chemical and biological waste for transportation and disposal, including the creation of all necessary federal and state waste documentation.
- Safely manage hazardous waste containers at client sites, including the loading and unloading of waste from vehicles.
- Conduct inspections of safety equipment and hazardous waste.
- Occasionally perform and document Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) audits for clients.
- Provide outstanding customer service by delivering innovative solutions and support to our clients.
- Develop expertise in state and federal regulations to ensure compliance with client needs (e.g., RCRA, DOT, and OSHA).
- Respond to spills, including assessment and cleanup efforts.
- Participate in on-call responsibilities as part of our Emergency Response team.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in hazardous waste management or relevant military experience.
- At least 6 months of experience in the hazardous waste sector.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
- Skilled in fostering positive relationships with clients and team members.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without future sponsorship.
- Valid U.S. driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to undergo a Motor Vehicle Record screening, criminal background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screening.
- Ability to lift 60 pounds regularly and work flexible hours as needed.
- Commitment to completing a 2 to 3-year professional advancement program in hazardous waste management.
- Ability to respond to the office within one hour during Emergency Response shifts.
- Regular handling of hazardous materials and personal protective equipment is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous relevant industry experience.
- Experience in a customer service role.
- Active HAZWOPER 24 or 40-hour certification.
- Willingness to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
