Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for overseeing, supporting, and coordinating all critical milestones necessary for the effective planning and management of aircraft maintenance and modification initiatives. Collaborate closely with various departments to uphold schedules and implement required changes and adjustments.

KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrated capability to manage multiple projects of medium to high complexity, consistently achieving on-time and quality deliverables.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive activities related to end-to-end program/project management, encompassing project planning, estimation, scoping, requirements gathering, implementation, and deployment.
  • Proactively oversee work across diverse teams as necessary, monitoring and reporting on the execution of deliverables throughout all phases of the program/project.
  • Take charge of the efficient, timely, and precise tracking of materials required for production.
  • Ensure coordination across various work streams to achieve timely delivery.
  • Utilize Microsoft Project & Empower MX for overall program planning and status tracking.
  • Communicate effectively with Client Leadership Teams.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings.
  • Provide status reports to senior management.
  • Ensure that necessary equipment and human resources are available to meet the proposed schedule.
  • Create and update workflow charts for projects daily to monitor progress and identify problem areas.
  • Track hours spent on flat-rated jobs and report results daily to all managers to enhance project performance.
  • Assist in managing labor resources.
  • Act as a liaison between planning, customers, and operations.
  • Update work scope as CRI and N/R items evolve.
  • Ensure adherence to the work plan and track paperwork flow for accountability.
  • Evaluate the cost-effectiveness of projects or services, monitoring actual costs against bids as the project progresses.
  • Prepare estimates for management to aid in planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
  • Maintain effective communication, coordination, and working relationships with company personnel and management.
  • Assist management in ensuring that staff have the necessary resources and a clear understanding of job responsibilities.
  • Support management in ensuring that subordinates receive proper training for their roles.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a coordinator, expediter, or planner in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong project management skills necessary for planning and overseeing project rollouts.
  • Experience in aviation planning, customer support, and repair customer service activities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Additional relevant training and education are preferred.
  • A&P License is preferred.
  • PMP certification is preferred.

  • Knowledge of quality control standards and systems.
  • Familiarity with both modification and maintenance functions, procedures, and standards.
  • Highly organized with strong planning and management capabilities.

  • Able to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and computer proficiency.
  • Customer service-oriented with good communication skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position operates in both indoor and outdoor settings. Indoor environments include office and warehouse spaces, requiring the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers, as well as safety gear. Outdoor environments may include parking lots and airplane runways, with occasional loud noise levels. Employees may be subject to varying temperatures, including extreme heat or cold.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands outlined here represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Regularly required to sit and frequently required to use fingers for small movements such as typing or picking up small objects. Medium work; may exert up to 50 lbs. occasionally, 20 lbs. frequently, and 10 lbs. constantly. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

TRAVEL: Occasional travel may be required for this position (10% or less).
