Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide short-term support, resources, and referrals to individuals to quickly resolve crisis situations.
  • Maintain open communication with supervisors and team members to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Serve as a liaison between individuals and other community resources, facilitating access to essential services.
  • Develop and implement targeted, specialized services focused on achieving project outcomes.
  • Aid in navigating obstacles to resources or services, including advocating for clients, assisting with time management, and supporting completion of paperwork.
Requirements
  • Associates degree or four-year degree with a minimum of three years' experience or High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of five years' experience working in Human Services or a similar field.
  • Experience working with low-income families and community services is preferred.
  • Experience and education in community health work is also preferred.
  • Proven track record of maintaining a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters good relations with clients, customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
  • Ability to work independently and be flexible in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to treat customers, co-workers, and the public with respect and courtesy at all times.
  • Ability to develop a sense of community with staff, program participants, and volunteers.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in the face of another person's distress.
  • Ability to develop a supportive, empowering culture for diverse members of the community.
  • Valid PA driver's license, vehicle, and insurance are required.
  • Strong organizational skills in managing complex tasks with autonomy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including occasional nights and weekends based on customers' availability.
  • Must obtain FBI, Child Abuse, and PA State Police clearances before starting work.
  • Bilingual is preferred.
