Key Responsibilities- Provide short-term support, resources, and referrals to individuals to quickly resolve crisis situations.
- Maintain open communication with supervisors and team members to ensure seamless collaboration.
- Serve as a liaison between individuals and other community resources, facilitating access to essential services.
- Develop and implement targeted, specialized services focused on achieving project outcomes.
- Aid in navigating obstacles to resources or services, including advocating for clients, assisting with time management, and supporting completion of paperwork.
- Associates degree or four-year degree with a minimum of three years' experience or High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of five years' experience working in Human Services or a similar field.
- Experience working with low-income families and community services is preferred.
- Experience and education in community health work is also preferred.
- Proven track record of maintaining a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters good relations with clients, customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
- Ability to work independently and be flexible in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to treat customers, co-workers, and the public with respect and courtesy at all times.
- Ability to develop a sense of community with staff, program participants, and volunteers.
- Ability to remain calm and focused in the face of another person's distress.
- Ability to develop a supportive, empowering culture for diverse members of the community.
- Valid PA driver's license, vehicle, and insurance are required.
- Strong organizational skills in managing complex tasks with autonomy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including occasional nights and weekends based on customers' availability.
- Must obtain FBI, Child Abuse, and PA State Police clearances before starting work.
- Bilingual is preferred.
