Role Summary

We are seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer Consultant to join our team. This role is pivotal in contributing to projects within our Civil Ground Engineering & Materials, Earth & Environment division. You will play a crucial role in a dynamic organization focused on meeting client needs and overcoming engineering challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough geotechnical assessments and provide expert guidance on due diligence, site investigations, remediation efforts, impact evaluations, permitting processes, and construction of infrastructure projects.
  • Engage in the research, design, analysis, and planning phases for various projects, including roads, buildings, tunnels, dams, and water supply systems.
  • Generate precise reports and documentation regarding materials, installations, and construction specifications, ensuring adherence to industry standards for quality and safety.
  • Analyze data from physical sites, soil samples, surveys, and other relevant matrices to inform project development and execution.
  • Maintain rigorous quality control standards for measurements and reporting of environmental data.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare visualizations and technical reports to effectively communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Assist in the development and scoping of projects, contributing to the preparation of presentations that address design and construction challenges.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering professional growth within the team.
  • Participate in the creation and implementation of site Health and Safety Plans (HASPs).
Qualifications

Essential Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering.
  • Professional Engineer license.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of geotechnical principles, including foundation design, slope stability, and earthquake engineering.
  • Experience in infrastructure planning and construction management.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in technical writing and familiarity with discipline-specific design software.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degrees in geotechnical engineering or related fields.
  • Experience with numerical modeling in geotechnical design.
  • Licensed Civil Engineer in relevant jurisdictions.
