Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in drafting civil engineering plans for land development.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
  • Possession of an Associate's degree or technical certification in a relevant discipline such as architecture or engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to interpret engineering construction documents and incorporate feedback from engineers and project managers.
  • Experience in residential and commercial land development is preferred.
  • Familiarity with drafting for traffic control, illumination, and signage is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with project teams.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate ideas and concepts clearly.

  • Capability to visualize and manipulate geometric and grading concepts in three-dimensional space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Under the guidance of a CAD manager, develop preliminary and construction plan sets for various residential and commercial projects, including grading, drainage, and utility plans.
  • Conduct research to ensure compliance with the latest municipal standards and regulations.
  • Prepare drawing packages for necessary submissions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and accept constructive feedback to enhance project outcomes.
  • Maintain open communication with supervisors and engineers regarding task progress and challenges.
  • Identify design conflicts and propose solutions to project managers.
