Position Summary
Solid Ground Engineering, PLLC is on the lookout for a talented Civil Engineering CAD Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is essential for creating detailed drawings, layouts, and graphical representations primarily focused on land development projects. Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D is required to excel in this position.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in drafting civil engineering plans for land development.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
- Possession of an Associate's degree or technical certification in a relevant discipline such as architecture or engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to interpret engineering construction documents and incorporate feedback from engineers and project managers.
- Experience in residential and commercial land development is preferred.
- Familiarity with drafting for traffic control, illumination, and signage is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with project teams.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate ideas and concepts clearly.
- High motivation for continuous learning and professional growth.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Capability to visualize and manipulate geometric and grading concepts in three-dimensional space.
- Attention to detail and a disciplined approach to quality assurance.
- Team-oriented, self-driven, and reliable work ethic.
- Proficient in standard office software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, and Bluebeam.
Key Responsibilities:
- Under the guidance of a CAD manager, develop preliminary and construction plan sets for various residential and commercial projects, including grading, drainage, and utility plans.
- Conduct research to ensure compliance with the latest municipal standards and regulations.
- Prepare drawing packages for necessary submissions.
- Collaborate with colleagues and accept constructive feedback to enhance project outcomes.
- Maintain open communication with supervisors and engineers regarding task progress and challenges.
- Identify design conflicts and propose solutions to project managers.
