Job Overview

We are seeking a Sales Operations Specialist who will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth for our organization. This position is focused on achieving or surpassing established revenue targets related to occupancy and average daily rates. The Sales Operations Specialist will oversee various sales functions in alignment with Island Hospitality Management and Brand Standards, fostering strong relationships within the local business landscape.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Act as a primary contact for clients, demonstrating a strong commitment to customer service through effective communication via phone and email.
  • Identify and engage key accounts through proactive sales calls, property tours, research, networking, and participation in special events.
  • Support management with essential tasks, including group rooming lists, billing processes, commission handling, proposals, and meeting arrangements.
  • Maintain accurate vendor and client information, collaborating with the Front Office Team to ensure seamless execution of group and corporate directives.
  • Manage banquet and meeting spaces for assigned groups, serving as the liaison between the hotel and clients throughout the event lifecycle.
  • Analyze market trends and provide insights to management, assisting in the development of strategic selling strategies to enhance revenue per available room (REVPAR).
  • Evaluate competitive positioning and develop targeted marketing strategies to capitalize on market opportunities.
  • Identify potential revenue challenges and opportunities, ensuring timely interventions to positively influence financial outcomes.
  • Assist in preparing necessary reports for the management team.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Sales or management.

Physical Requirements

Employees must be able to meet the physical demands of this role, which include standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, as well as lifting or moving items weighing up to 25 pounds. Work hours may vary based on occupancy levels, seasonality, staffing, and other factors.
