Job Title: Cashier Customer Service Representative

Job Summary:
Village Market is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Cashier Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a key member of our store staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, operating our computerized cash system, and maintaining a clean and well-stocked work station.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide fast, friendly, and accurate check out services to our guests.
  • Bag groceries and retrieve carts when necessary.
  • Front surrounding areas and maintain a clean and well-stocked cashier pod.
  • Effectively communicate with guests, team members, and store leadership.
  • Operate all aspects of the computerized cash system and follow strict cash/check/credit card handling procedures.

Requirements:

  • Ability to provide exceptional guest service.
  • Must have a love of natural, organic, and specialty products.
  • Ability to learn and operate all aspects of the computerized cash system.
  • Ability to learn and follow strict cash/check/credit card handling procedures.
  • Must have strong communication skills.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time up to 4 hours without a break.
  • Ability to bend and stoop to grasp objects, climb ladders, lift loads up to 50 lbs. unassisted, push and pull carts weighing up to 100 lbs. unassisted.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
