About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to join our team at IQ-EQ, a leading service provider to the alternative asset industry. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for facilitating our service offering by assisting, performing, and reviewing various tasks related to private equity fund administration.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Client Support: Provide exceptional support to IQ-EQ client leads on multiple private equity funds within various industries, ensuring timely delivery of client expectations and adherence to limited partnership agreements.
  2. Team Management: Manage team and support functions to ensure efficient management of client expectations and timelines on client deliverables.
  3. Financial Reporting: Maintain a working understanding of limited partnership agreements and apply terms to financial reporting and income and expense allocations.
  4. Financial Analysis: Prepare and/or review journal entries, management fee calculations, investor allocations, capital account statements, capital call and distribution calculations, sources/uses of cash, investor notices, carried interest calculations, and maintenance of waterfall models.
  5. Client Communication: Manage the delivery of capital call and distributions notices to clients and investors.
  6. Financial Review: Review financial statements, notes disclosures, and supporting schedules.
  7. Year-End Process: Manage the year-end process and handle requests from external auditors and tax teams.
  8. Process Improvement: Assess operational effectiveness and make suggestions for process development.
  9. Client Information: Handle daily/routine client information requests and fulfill ad-hoc requests as needed.
  10. Work Management: Manage and prioritize work tasks to meet competing deadlines.
  11. Team Development: Train and develop junior team members.
Requirements
  1. Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in private equity, public accounting, or a combination of experience at an alternative asset investment firm and public accounting experience.
  2. Technical Skills: Analytical and technical skills with proficiency in accounting and administration for alternative investment funds.
  3. Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  4. Client Service: Ability to provide exceptional client service.
  5. Teamwork: Ability to collaborate with others in a team environment, provide and accept constructive feedback.
  6. Attention to Detail: Ability to produce high-quality work product with accuracy and extreme attention to detail.
  7. Time Management: Ability to manage multiple demands and competing deadlines.
  8. Communication: Effective and professional communication.
  9. Adaptability: Ability to work overtime as needed to meet deadlines.
  10. Software Skills: Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Investran preferred.
  11. Leadership: Experience in or desire to manage and train junior team members.
  12. Industry Knowledge: Experience working on funds in the oil and gas industry is a plus.
