About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our team at Insight Global's client in Newark, DE. This is a permanent, full-time position with a hybrid work schedule (3 days in the office, 2 days remote) from 8am to 4:30pm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage engineering investigations, design, permitting, financial project management, and construction management for various water and wastewater facilities.
  • Study alternatives, conduct feasibility studies, and provide recommendations and engineering estimates for capital projects to improve facilities and system operations.
  • Financially review and manage assigned capital projects on a weekly basis.
  • Provide technical assistance on capital projects involving multiple departments, serving as a technical resource for other members of the Engineering Group and company departments as needed.
Requirements
  • BS degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in the water/wastewater industry as an engineer in one of the following areas: mechanical, electrical, environmental, or hydraulic.
  • Proven track record of successful project leadership and execution in a technical engineering environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PE (Professional Engineer) license.
  • Experience in the manufacturing world with the types of electrical and mechanical equipment used by the company, such as pumps, motors, electrical starters, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), valves, flow meters, flow control devices, or water/wastewater treatment equipment.
  • Project management experience managing a project from inception through startup and operation.
